Fun times with Hamu and the Gang in Philly

Well the trip to Philly was nice. Did it in 2 days so Eric would get used to the driving. The first night we slept in Poughkeepsie, NY. Then the next morning we woke up early and continued to Philly. Made a few small navigational mistakes and ended up taking some smaller roads there. It worked out good because the higheay was packed with accidents from the heavy rain that was coming down left over from hurricane Ernesto.
Anyways we arrived at Hamu and Yis' place around 1:00PM saturday. We relaxed a bit, had a nice big lunch, and later that night went to see Yis' fantastic restoraunt (shouk). We enjoyed some nice time the next morning in the Rittenhouse park which is right next to Hamu's place. Lots going on with dogs, kids and birds enjoying the park on a nice day.
That afternoon we all went out for a mini tour of the city and a nice dinner. Walked for a few hours saw some galleries, some main streets, the downtown and also the enjoyed a great dinner. We went to where the famous "Rocky" the movie scene was filmed at the gallery. Eric B. had a great time seeing his cousins, and they enjoyed being with him as well. Trip was a little too short but we still has a good time.

Eric's Swimming Lessons

Yes, Eric is a big swimmer now. He does laps and paddles. Looks for his ducky and plays with floating balls. Every week he head into the depths of parkhaven pool to exhibit his great progress as the 7 month old swimmer. It was a nice family outing at Voyageur Park last week with a BBQ a little swim for Eric and some some arab entertaiment. Eric got some prize time with his grandparents. The day was very nice accept it was a bit cool, and windy after the long weeks of humidity no one was to put out accept going swimming didn't look like it was on the agenda, but Eric decided he would take the plunge.

The Chief is In!

So big day for Eric yesterday. Got a bonus with the grandparents and enjoyed himself on a beautiful day. Sivan and I went Biking for a few hours so we left him there with the Snooper. Him and the Snooper were tired out by the time we got home. Snoopy stole 3 raw hamburgers right before I was supposed to put them on the grill. Yechech!

Waterfalls in Rawdon!

Beautiful sunny days this past weekend during the Fete National - Grand Prix long weekend in Quebec. We took a short but nice trip up to Rawdon to see the waterfalls there and get in a little hiking. Eric B and Sivan enjoyed themselves a lot. Saw a few cows and some farms and then headed up toward the waterfalls. The water falls were pretty intense. They flow extremly rapidly down and then at the bottom it is very calm like a quiet pond.
We then did some hiking since this is also a Quebec national park. Lots of things to see along the river. We put Eric in the baby-bjorn so he could see all the animals and the views as we hiked.
We had a short stop over on the way back to enjoy the view of a beautiful stream and to let Eric have lunch. On top of that it was really hot peaking at around 29 degrees plus humidity.
